Malta, May 9-10, 2024 - our founder, Eleanora, and PR manager, Nataly, attended the 10th EU-Startups Summit held in Malta on May 9-10, 2024. The event, which brought together innovative minds from across Europe, was a significant platform for networking, learning, and showcasing groundbreaking projects.

In his opening speech, Robert Abela, the Prime Minister of Malta, expressed his excitement about hosting such impactful events in Malta. He emphasized that these gatherings can potentially create substantial changes and foster growth in the startup ecosystem and in Malta.


The summit featured a diverse range of projects, with a notable emphasis on educational technology (EdTech).

Numerous booths highlighted the support available for startups in Malta, including investment opportunities for those willing to relocate. Attendees had the chance to explore how Malta is becoming a supportive hub for entrepreneurs.

Anna Weissensteiner, EU-Startups COO, delivered an engaging talk titled "How startups will play a key role in solving the most pressing global challenges and how strong startup ecosystems can accelerate impact innovation.” She discussed the vital role startups play as catalysts for change, their contributions to addressing global issues, and their impact on accelerating innovation.
A particularly inspiring segment of the summit focused on women-led projects. Female entrepreneurs shared their experiences, offering insights on overcoming fears, taking bold actions, and relentlessly pursuing opportunities. These sessions underscored the importance of persistence and resilience in the entrepreneurial journey.


The summit featured a strong focus on female-led projects. Jessica Breitenfeld, a motivational humorist speaker, organized interactive events for women and others, here participants engaged in speed-dating-like conversations, fostering networking and exchange. A notable panel discussion led by Akansha Dimri included speakers Nikita Thakrar, Laura Gimenez, and Nadia Lazarova, who shared insights on tackling inequality.

The summit also featured a keynote address from Amazon CTO Werner Vogels, who shared personal anecdotes about his journey and insights into Amazon's organizational practices. He discussed the importance of a disciplined routine and making fresh decisions between 8 and 11 AM, emphasizing how these practices contribute to Amazon's success.

Numerous Italian, German, and other international projects were showcased, though many were in their early stages. Qlode team took an opportunity to establish meaningful connections at the booth and during the event in general, seizing opportunities to speak with key figures. They showcased Qlode innovative solutions and explored potential collaborations and investments.
